S.H.D. (Sibling Hobby Day) #1 - Jan 15th
Sibling Hobby Day!! My brother is very interested in photography also, so we have decided that once a month we will get together and do photography!! Its something that we both need to remember to do as a hobby still! It was so much fun!!! We went to Steveston in Richmond. It was very grey out, and started to rain near the end, but we still had alot of fun!
Couple Session - Glenn and Sharon's secret photoshoot
Meet my Mom and Dad! We did this photoshoot well before christmas, but it was a secret!! They wanted to give out some photos as christmas gifts, so I wasn't allowed to put it on my blog yet! Anyways - christmas is over, photos have been handed out, so now I get to show off my wonderful parents!! Enjoy!

Captured Heart Photography - my equipment!!
Today I got a new lens!! I was having so much fun playing around with it that I decided to photograph my equipment and tell you all about it!
-First and foremost, the camera body!! I got the Canon 7D a few months ago. It was a HUGE step up from the Rebel Xti that I had for a few years! I love this camera!
-The second most important piece for a photographer to have is good glass. I now have two lens'. My main lens is Canon's 18-200mm telephoto lens. This was my first "big purchase" as a photographer, and WOW is it worth it! There is almost nothing this lens can't handle! And today I purchased Canon's prime. 50mm 1.8 I have done alot of research between the 1.4 & 1.8 and I am SO happy with the decision I made!!
-Next is the on-camera flash! I have Canon's Speedlight 580exII. Now, honestly, I don't have this flash totally figured out, as it's a pretty official flash, but I am working on it! Practice makes perfect!!
-My tripod is Mansfroto, and I purchased it at Photostop on Surrey. They always give me an awesome deal! I love the ball head. Makes using the tripod alot easier!
- Now on to the accessories! Below is my Gary Fong cone diffuser! And Interfit 5in1 reflector! The reflector can be used in SO many occasions!! To add light to the faces of my clients, or to protect from bright sunlight! This reflector is usually in the trusted hands of my assistant
